My Human is often asked how she keeps me so black. One of the first things I do in the morning is she puts on my light flysheet and light facemask. Mornings might be just a little cooler but the sun rays are just as damaging. With these very hot temperatures most all Equine sweat, the salt that comes out can not only help bleach out Black or dark brown but flies and insects are attracted which just makes me want to go roll in the dirt, then my "Human" cries FREDERIK!!!!!!!! so at least once a day be sure to rinse us off really well. You will notice the water running off will be white when it becomes clear you can stop besides it feels good on a hot day. When the temperatures were reaching 105 and up she would rinse me off a couple times a day. I also stay in my cozy stall in the peak of the afternoon stripped good and naked with mister's.
